Warn has done it again. The high end winch market has been further improved with a host of new features in the new Warn Zeon Platinum series, making winching that much safer, more dependable and faster.
The Zeon Platinum is the first winch to offer full wireless operation, including electronic clutch control, by way of a rugged handheld remote. The remote is powered by a replaceable Lithium Ion battery and can be charged through micro USB or 12v car adaptor. It only takes 90 minutes to get a full charge off your vehicle’s cigarette lighter.
The wireless control enables:
• Spool in or out of the winch
• Engagement and disengagement of the remote controlled clutch
• Control of the auxiliary items connected to the winch
• Ability to customise for individual preferences
• Feedback to the winch user of:
– Winch motor temperature
– Vehicle battery condition
– Clutch status
– Auxiliary accessory status
The new winch series touts a 20% faster line speed than the standard Zeon, a fully sealed IP68 rated casing to keep the dust and water out and an all new motor and gearbox for improved speed and durability.
Another notable feature to the new Zeon Platinum line is the convertible control pack that is designed to be removable and remote located in order to fit the winch into tight mounting locations and/or provide a more low profile sleek look to the mounted winch.
The Zeon Platinum is available in 3 configurations; 10, 10-S and 12. The number signifies the winching capacity in pounds and the “S” signifies that the winch is carrying synthetic line, versus the standard steel cable. The new winch series carries a limited lifetime warranty and will be available in March.
