TLR Products new Solar Panel Mounting Brackets allow for fitment of a solar panel between sports-style roof bars.

TLR products (the team behind Out Of Town 4WD and Long Ranger fuel tanks) has developed a set of innovative brackets to allow the fitment of a solar panel between two sports-style roof bars.

Much more than just a couple of L-brackets you might buy at the hardware store, the clever TLR brackets allow a solar panel to be mounted below the height of the roof bars, so you can still use your racks to transport gear without having to remove the panel.

Whether it be planks of wood or lengths or pipe during the week, or surfboards or kayaks on the weekend, you can still head off to your favourite off-the-grid destination knowing you’ll always be able to use your solar panel to keep your batteries charged.

The brackets are manufactured from 304-grade stainless steel, which has been powder coated with Interpon’s textured Sable Black, so you can rest assured they will stand up to harsh Australian conditions and still look great for many years to come.

The new Solar Panel Mounting Brackets are designed to mount solar panels with a thickness of 35mm or less, and TLR is keen to point out that they are designed and manufactured in Australia, with the company bucking the trend of businesses who source their products from cheap off-shore manufacturing plants.

The new Solar Panel Mounting Brackets retail for $157 and are supplied with detail fitting instructions and all the required mounting hardware.

You can check out a super-short video of the brackets on the TLR Products YouTube page.
