Hot or Not? Would you own a Honda 6X6 Acty Crawler? What if it had just 635km on the clock and you could buy it for less than $2000?

Ah, the interweb. Yesterday we stumbled across this little darling of a 6X6, the Honda Acty Crawler. Ok, so it’s not exactly a 6X6. It’s 6X4 but the tracks that are threaded around the rear tyres technically give it drive to both rear axles.

This 1994 example of a tiny little awesome Japanese sixby is powered by a 656cc inline 3-cylinder making a massive 28kW of power and 54 Nm of torque. Aside from the absolutely insane powerhouse under the cab, the little ute that tried, and weighs a whole 870kg. The payload is around three cases of beer (it’s actually 350kg), and we’re told that the average shopping trolly has more flex. All said and done, these were originally built for the slippery snowy slopes of mountainous Japan, however, there are some still around for sale that can be legally imported to Australia and apparently complied to be registered down under.

This specific model is currently for sale on a Japanese auction site, features full-time four-wheel drive, the 656cc SOHC 12-valve engine, a tray that looks big enough for a pallet, and has just 635km on the clock. Need to work out a budget? The last Honda 6X6 Acty Crawler that sold at auction fetched around 140,000 yen, which is just $1900 Aussie dollarydoos. That one did have more than 340,000km but we reckon that this little jigger wouldn’t be too far off. Anyone keen to chip in for a cheap weekender?
