The 2018-2019 Isuzu D-Max is being recalled because of the potential for the rear leaf spring to fracture and fail.

More than 2300 Isuzu D-Max vehicles (20198-2019) are being recalled because of the potential for the rear leaf spring to fracture and fail. According to the recall, the front eye is of an insufficient diameter.

According to Isuzu, “If one of the springs breaks, the driver may not have full control of the vehicle, increasing the risk of an accident and injury to the vehicle occupants and other road users”.

Isuzu said it will contact all “known owners of affected vehicles. Consumers should contact their nearest Isuzu UTE dealer to arrange for the inspection and replacement of the rear left spring assembly and parking brake cable, where required”.
