FCA Australia is recalling more than 2000 2014 Jeep Cherokees because of a clutch issue which could see the transmission jump into neutral.

FCA Australia is recalled 2263 2014 Jeep Cherokees (on-sale between 2014 and 2018) because of an issue that could see a stuck clutch result in the transmission jumping into neutral. According to the recall notice issued by FCA Australia, “Some vehicles may experience a stuck clutch, resulting in a transmission-commanded shift to neutral.

“A switch to neutral may cause an unexpected loss of motive power, which may result in an accident, affecting the safety of the vehicle occupants and other road users.”

According to FCA Australia, it is reaching out to owners via mail and requesting them to take their vehicle to the nearest Chrysler Jeep Dodge dealer to have the Transmission Control Module reprogrammed, free of charge.
