UNSEALED 4X4 GARAGE: Project Rusty

OK, the last few episodes of Project Rusty have seen us give the engine, box, transfer case and diffs some fresh fluids and filters; and we have fitted up a set of Open Country ATII tyres to get us prepared for tackling some proper tracks in the near future. The only problem is, we’ve got to get Rusty registered first.

Hmmm, somehow we don’t reckon that’ll happen with the amount of, well, rust that’s all over the underbody… so it’s time to get serious.

 

Yep, we’re taking the body off Rusty this episode (hey, what’s the point of having a Molnar hoist if you ain’t going to use it?) to get access to the frame so we can remove the rust and recoat the steel with some chassis-black. We’ll also give the underside of the body a good going over and see if there’s anything more serious than what we’ve already found.
